I’ve become such a sucker for 70s inspired pieces this fall, so when I spotted this dress, with all the makings of an iconic 70s stunner, I knew I had to have it!

A plunging deep V is classic 70s styling, but since I’m typically not one for baring a lot of skin, I knew I was going to need to figure out the perfect piece to layer under it. This vintage cami has been with me for nearly 10 years, so I loved having a chance to pull it from way down deep in my closet the archives to work in with this dress.

The dress, while a clear winner, still felt like it needed a little oomph. Adding this equestrian belt felt like a step in the right direction. As you’ve likely noticed, I’m a fan of belting just about everything including coats and dresses. Belting can make all the difference between an outfit that’s ho-hum or downright spectacular.

On another note, I just scooped up these Le Specs from Nordstrom last week and could not be more in love! They’re the perfect shape. Le Specs have quickly become one of my favorite brands for sunnies – they’re super well made AND wallet friendly. Who can argue with that?
