The last two weeks of my life are a complete blur. A packing-then-unpacking, plotting and decorating, shopping-filled, family-visiting, holiday-celebrating, happy, surreal blur.
I officially graduated from communal living and have moved into an incredible house that I’ve been busy transforming into a home. Ample space abound, I think I’ve made roughly 27 trips over the past 9 days to the likes of Target, West Elm, Pottery Barn, & Home Depot, but the house is definitely making some decent headway.
Despite the happy news, it has certainly been a distraction from other endeavors — like this one! Living sans internet creates some interesting challenges when you’re trying to work on your blog. And shop on Cyber Monday. And behave like any normal, technology-dependent Millennial would!! While unplugging for a day or two is a welcomed vacation for me at most times, two weeks devoid of technology when you’re attempting to post to your blog thrice weekly is interesting to say the least (my longstanding diplomatic word used in place of suck). But I’m officially virtually connected again..cue large sigh of relief.
In addition to the mover-and-shaker pace of my household, we’ve had lots of rain over the past three days in LA (an event I haven’t experienced since I first moved here three years ago), so I decided to post a look I wore recently, before the downpour, when I was over in Malibu for the day. I also pair this great winter floral skirt often with a cozy knit and tights if I’m in cooler temps.
This pair of Rachel Zoe booties is one of my favorites: They are unbelievably striking in a gorgeous jet-black calf hair, and I will have these for many years to come. The bag happens to an inexpensive Aldo find, which feels reminiscent of Balenciaga and is perfect for travel or to carry when I don’t want to worry about ruining an expensive one. I’m also known to incorporate a lot of unexpected details like the peek of lace under this cutout tank..it adds dimension and intrigue to an otherwise simple outfit.
So many amazing looks coming down the pike that I can’t wait to share with you all! Stay tuned!
