Do you remember that joke from your childhood?
Maybe it’s a different joke that resonates with you, but for whatever reason, I immediately think back to hearing this cheesy joke from a friend in my kindergarten class anytime I pair black and white with red. We had a rainy afternoon yesterday here in LA, so I took full advantage of laid-back, rainy day attire, since it’s so few and far between in Southern California.
As I’ve mentioned in past posts, I am all about a pop of color with accessories when I keep my outfit in the black/grey/camel/white families, so I livened things up with a red beanie. This black and grey plaid jacket from Banana Republic has become one of my favorites this winter thanks to its large, cozy collar and boxy shape. Combining the edginess of one of my favorite pairs of destroyed white denim (last seen here), with the inherent polish of the jacket is becoming one of my favorite contrasts. These last few weeks have been packed with the new show so I’ve been staying pretty close to home on the weekends and only venturing out to my favorite haunts. Here’s to a productive week — have a wonderful Monday!
